Passionate About Tanzania. Committed To Your Adventure.
Based in Karatu & Arusha, the beating heart of East African wildlife travel and the direct gateway to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti, Gibaco Tanzania Safaris was founded to offer authentic, unhurried, and deeply immersive safari experiences across the United Republic of Tanzania.
We believe a safari is not just a vacation; it is a transformative encounter with our planet's wildest sanctuaries. From the thunderous herds of the Serengeti Great Migration to the heights of Uhuru Peak on Mount Kilimanjaro and the turquoise spice beaches of Zanzibar, our mission is to deliver unforgettable journeys with authentic local hospitality.
The Guiding Principles of Gibaco Safaris
Expert Native Guides
Our senior guides were born in Tanzania and have spent decades reading animal behavior, bird calls, and tracks across every national park.
Customized 4x4 Cruisers
All safaris are conducted in specialized, heavy-duty 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers fitted with pop-up photography roofs, high suspension, and AC/inverters.
Community & Conservation
We believe safari tourism must protect wildlife and empower local communities through direct fair employment, park fees, and youth initiative support.
GIBACO — Give Back to the Community
Giving Back Today, Building a Better Tomorrow.
GIBACO stands for Give Back to the Community — a spirit of generosity, compassion, and collective responsibility that inspires us to create meaningful and lasting change in society.
We believe that strong communities are built when people come together to support one another, empower young people, expand access to opportunities, and create solutions to local challenges.
Investing in Education
Expanding access to learning resources, school supplies, and mentorship for promising youth across local Tanzanian communities.
Health & Well-being
Promoting community healthcare awareness, clean water initiatives, and foundational support for vulnerable families.
Protecting the Environment
Guarding our fragile wildlife ecosystems through tree-planting, clean-up drives, and community conservation education.
Youth Leadership
Cultivating leadership skills, digital access, and entrepreneurial confidence in young people to shape a brighter future.
